Lorcan joined other Irish artists including Robert Ballagh, Dara Vallely and his father JB Vallely in donating a piece of work to support Ciste Infheistíochta Gaeilge’s $1 Million Dúshlán challenge.
Ciste Infheistíochta Gaeilge is the first and only agency in the north of Ireland dedicated to building the physical infrastructure required to accommodate the vibrant and ever growing Irish language community.
Ciste launched the $1 Million Challenge at Belfast City Hall in April 2014.
All monies raised will be designated to fund three flagship projects including Aonach Mhacha in Armagh – a new Irish language, cultural and arts hub in the heart of the ancient capital of Ulster.
The subject of the etching is the Irish revolutionary figure, Frank Ryan. An event is planned for the early 2015 where the work will be auctioned. More news of that nearer the time!
